Overview of the role
The successful candidate will design and implement Continuous Improvement projects to improve process, communication and customer delivery.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the use of Lean Tools and Techniques gained in a high quality production engineering environment.
Duties to include:
Design, implement and embed appropriate CI plans to streamline operations and reduce inefficiencies.
Work with site management identifying resource changes required to support CI plans
Ensure MRP system data is used appropriately and effectively to compliment CI initiatives
Identify training needs for employees on problem solving techniques and continuous improvement tools
Produce monthly KPI statistics

Overview of the role
The Customer Account Coordinator role is the primary contact between WG Jones and our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts in full, ensuring that queries are dealt with in a timely manner.
Attributes
Experience within Aerospace or Engineering is preferred but not essential.
Good general IT Skills.
Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of Excel.
Experience of a MRP system an advantage but not essential.
Good communicator.
Part of the sales team to ensure monthly targets are met.
Ability to set and work to priorities.
Must be well organised.
Role Responsibilities
You will closely monitor and develop the customer expectations in terms of On Time Delivery.
Closely track potential delays and discuss with the customer, at the earliest stage, any risks.
Be influential in prioritising and pushing production to meet customer expectations.
Communicate at different levels and liaise between the relevant departments and company to resolve any technical or quality issues.
Attend the daily production meetings and take an active part in pushing the completion and delivery of components to the customer.

Overview of the role
At WG Jones Ltd, our apprentices will receive full training in precision machining methods and techniques, CNC programming and an understanding of the wider business activities which support the workshop. These will include lean manufacturing techniques and skills as part of their development.
WG Jones Engineering is seeking to employ enthusiastic, hardworking individuals as Engineering Apprentices to begin in September 2024, supported through Bournemouth and Poole College.
